Fredericksburg, VA – In response to increasing federal hostility toward LGBTQ individuals and organizations, Pride Center FXBG is making a bold move to ensure the continued safety, visibility, and independence of its services. The Center will officially relocate from its current location at 4343 Plank Road to a new downtown home at 415 Elm Street.
The move is a strategic step to clearly separate Pride Center FXBG’s privately funded operations from those supported by federal funding through its parent organization, Fredericksburg Area Health and Support Services (FAHASS). In addition, Pride Center FXBG leaders hope the downtown location will offer more accessibility and visibility, encouraging expanded community use and leadership.

- 💬Reason for Move: To maintain a clear separation between federally funded activities and Pride Center FXBG, which is supported solely through private donations.

- 🤝New Features:
- Community meeting and event space
- A daytime lounge for work, socialization, and connection
- 📍Dual-Use Commitment: While Elm Street will become the official home, the Plank Road site will remain available for groups and activities as needed.
