FAHASS is driven by a compassionate team committed to meeting the needs of our community. Our team members bring diverse skills, experiences, and a deep passion for helping others. They work tirelessly to provide personalized support, so every individual feels heard, valued, and empowered.

Management Team

  • Joseph Lyttle He/Him

    Executive Director

    Joseph's most recent professional highlights include opening Mosaic Care Center, a LGBTQ Affirming Primary Healthcare Clinic, as well as Pride Center FXBG, this region's first (and only) LGBTQ Community Center.

  • Amanda Strawn She/Her

    Development Manager

    Amanda is most proud of helping to establish the Pride Center and launch a variety of LGBTQ events in her hometown. Organizing the first-ever Community Connections Expo was also a truly rewarding achievement in her career.

  • Michelle Sullivan She/Her

    Programs Manager

    Michelle feels that those she works with make FAHASS a place she enjoys coming to each day.

  • Jacob Ducey He/Him

    Grants Manager

    One of Jacob's proudest accomplishments is implementing technological efficiencies, like Microsoft Teams, across the agency in addition to researching, finding, and implementing a new payroll/human resource management platform. (He's also our Pride Center interior decorator!)

    Since starting, Patrick is proud of the vast improvements he's made to the organization's filing system for physical and digital financial documents.

    Lead Medical Case Manager

    Sarah finds particular joy in clients who come to us unhoused and we assist them with housing, finding a job, getting them connected in care and get them to a place where they are successfully living independently.

  • Cynthia Hackett She/Her

    Medical Case Manager

    Cynthia is proud to be available to offer assistance, support and encouragement to clients. When clients are unable to discuss their diagnosis with anyone, Cynthia is available to provide that support system for them.

  • Jessica Hopkins She/Her

    Jessica is excited to be a part of the agency's Culpeper expansion and proud of the connections being made in these areas so we can better serve our more rural communities.

    Renee is most proud of being a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Death Doula. She is also in school to be a Geriatric Case Manager to help FAHASS better serve our aging population living with HIV.

    Jason is extremely proud of his work with the Gay + Bi Men of Fredericksburg. He successfully increased the number of activities hosted for the group as well as increased participation in those activities by around 400%

    James is incredibly proud of his dedicated work organizing and facilitating the Community Clothes Closet, which started as a pile of old clothes and has been developed into a safe place for people from all walks of life to access clothes they need for free.

Housing

  • Nadia Jamal She/Her

    Lead Housing Case Manager

    Nadia is most proud of being trained to onboard housing department staff for past 9 years and actively participating in completing housing policies and procedures for our various housing grants.

  • Matthew Jaster He/Him

    Housing Case Manager

    Matthew is most proud of adopting additional Ryan White Housing responsibilities. He's most happy he's able to assist Clients month to month, preventing evictions and keeping them housed.

Transportation

  • Bill Emminger He/Him

    Transportation Coordinator

    Bill is most proud that during his tenure, no clients have ever been late for their medical appts due to FAHASS rides.
