FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fredericksburg, VA, February 11, 2025 – Following the success of its inaugural year, the Community Connections Expo returns on March 18, 2025, from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Fredericksburg Convention Center. Hosted by local health nonprofit FAHASS (Fredericksburg Area Health and Support Services) in partnership with the Fredericksburg Regional Continuum of Care, this impactful event aims to connect local families, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those within the ALICE population (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) with vital resources and services.
Last year, the Community Connections Expo served 622 families with the support of 60 vendors, offering direct services such as haircuts, health screenings, clothing distribution, and access to food. This year’s event is expected to expand on that success, providing an even greater array of free services and resources to those in need.
“The overwhelming response to last year’s event proved just how critical this initiative is for our community. By bringing together service-minded organizations, we are fostering stronger connections and ensuring that those struggling have direct access to support systems that can improve their quality of life,” said Joseph Lyttle, Executive Director of FAHASS.
The Expo unites nonprofits, businesses, and service providers under one roof, creating a one-stop hub for essential community resources. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with local organizations, receive on-the-spot assistance, and gain valuable knowledge about available support programs.
Community members, business leaders, and local organizations are encouraged to take part in this collaborative effort by becoming vendors, volunteering, or supporting the event through sponsorships. Organizations are encouraged to register by March 1 to secure their spot and take advantage of pricing.
